Children’s Ministry
Children’s ministry is open to kids from 6 months to 6th grade.
Our classes are split up in 3 sections:
We have Nursery which is 6 months-2 years old – Currently only once a month
Toddlers are from ages 2-5 (they move up when they enter kindergarten)-available for both Wednesday evening and Sunday mornings
Our main class room is from Kinder – 6th grade available for both Wednesday evening and Sunday mornings.
Purpose/Vision for the Ministry
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. We get the privilege to minister to your precious children. And our heart is that we’re not just glorified babysitters 🙂 but that we’re coming alongside you parents/grandparents to not just teach but train up your child in the ways of the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6
Teaching them the Word of God (breaking it down to their level so they understand what it means), teaching them how to apply the Word in their lives (not just head knowledge but actually practical application), and overall teaching them how to live out their faith.
Teaching them the power in prayer. What is worship, why we worship, how we worship. Lastly, loving on them through our words and action.
Opportunities to Serve
We ask that CCLW be your home church for at least 6 months.
We will be conducting background checks.
As discipleship classes come up, we highly encourage for you participate in them.
Teachers – we would ask that you would consider how your interaction with the kids will look like. They’re God’s children and we need to be good stewards of them. We teach through the entire Word of God. From Genesis to Revelation. Our heart is to have the kids go through the entire bible before they leave Children’s Ministry and we send them off to Youth Ministry.
Teacher’s helper– requirements would be to interact with the kids and be available for whatever the teacher is in need of.
Youth kids – this is a good ministry to get started in. We can use Youth as JR Helpers to assist in whatever the teacher is need of.
